Soft Maple Syrup Cookies

Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 110 g butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g 47° North maple sugar
  • 80 ml 47° North maple syrup (DARK)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk butter and maple sugar with a hand mixer until frothy for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add maple syrup, egg and vanilla extract and mix thoroughly.
  5. Slowly add the flour mixture and mix together.
  6. Form balls about the size of a walnut with your hands.
  7. Place the dough balls on the baking tray and bake for about 8-10 minutes.
  8. Let cookies cool down and enjoy!
